Jaime is a recognized expert in administrative law and regulated markets. He concentrates his work on the issues of legal control of the State Administration, protection of investment and property against regulatory interventions, State liability for damages, reinforcement of legal certainty and non-retroactivity of rules. He is the author of numerous publications in these areas and of law reports.
He is currently an assistant professor at the Public Law Department of the Universidad de Chile, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. He is a member of the Chilean Association of Administrative Law.
STUDIES
Jaime holds a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a J.D. and a Master’s degree in Public Law from Universidad de los Andes. He has been a visiting student (Recognised Student) at Oxford University and postdoctoral researcher at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
